NFL Week 12 Picks: Post-Turkey Hangover?

Alright, how about a 3-for-3 showing for me to belatedly kick off the 2021 season?! Let’s see if I can recapture the magic here on Sunday with a few more picks:

Thursday/Season Record: 3-0 (1.000)

Philadelphia (-4) at New York Giants

Division games are always tricky, but the Giants are reeling (aren’t they always?) on a short week and just fired their offensive coordinator, Jason Garrett. The Eagles are picking up steam and running wild, and the door is slightly open with Dallas’ recent struggles. Pick: Eagles.

Tennessee at New England (-7.5)

Here we go again. The Patriots are back, right? The defense looks dominant, and the Titans are all sorts of beat up and coming off a loss to lowly Houston. This one looks so obvious, doesn’t it? So, naturally, take the points here… Pick: Titans.

New York Jets at Houston (-3)

Speaking of lowly Houston, here is a chance for them to not be so lowly for another week. The Jets are down to one healthy QB (you can probably thank Joe Flacco’s anti-vax status for that) and Zach Wilson could be rusty coming off a long absence. Tyrod Taylor gives the Texans a legitimate shot to win, and I expect them to have their first winning streak of 2021. Pick: Texans.

Cleveland at Baltimore (buying to -3 at -125)

Nick Chubb is back for the Browns. Lamar Jackson is back for the Ravens. Something has to give here. The Ravens seem to be the least-talked-about contender in the AFC, and that’s just fine with them. John Harbaugh deserves Coach of the Year consideration, as Baltimore as continued to pull out close wins despite a lot of injuries. The Browns have underachieved this year, and this seems like a good spot for the Ravens to make good in prime-time after laying an egg in Miami a few weeks back. Pick: Ravens.
