NFL Week 13 Picks: Will Week 13 be Lucky For Me After a Dismal Week 12?

Can Kenny Pickett and the Steelers make it back-to-back wins in Atlanta this week?

What a bad week. Just when I thought I was rolling, I fell flat on my face. Now, time to bounce back:

Last week: 1-5-1

Season: 9-11-3

Denver at Baltimore (-8.5)

Plain and simple, the Ravens are not a championship team, but I’m just going to keep taking them as a favorite until I eventually run into a win. Also, the Broncos just can’t score points. Pick: Ravens.

New York Jets at Minnesota (-3)

Something’s gotta give. Are the Jets really an 8-4 team? Are the Vikings really a 10-2 team? I’ll take Minnesota with extended rest to hit double-digit wins. Pick: Vikings.

Pittsburgh (-1) at Atlanta

The Steelers played well Monday night and it seems like Kenny Pickett is getting more comfortable every week. Pittsburgh and Atlanta played some thrillers in the late 90s and early 2000s, but both teams are under .500 here, and I trust Pittsburgh a little more than an Atlanta team that seems to mess up any time the Bucs leave the door open for them in the NFC South. Pick: Steelers.

Tennessee at Philadelphia (-4.5)

The Titans may have been out-physical-ed by the Bengals last week, but they may be able to run the ball well enough against the Eagles to get the cover here. Pick: Titans.

Washington at New York Giants (buying to +3 at -135)

The Giants are being counted out, and I get it. This is what they were “supposed” to be, but the truth is, they’ve run into a couple hot teams the past two weeks. This week is no different with a Washington team that has won six of seven after a 1-4 start, but something tells me the Giants are out to prove something, and it also feels like the Taylor Heinecke magic has to wear off at some point. Pick: Giants.

Seattle (-7) at Los Angeles Rams

The Seahawks are quietly descending back to earth, and this could be a dangerous spot for them against a Rams team that is a shell of itself after winning Super Bowl LVI. Every week could be a struggle the rest of the way for the Seahawks as they try and stay afloat in the playoff chase. Pick: Rams.

Miami at San Francisco (-4)

I want so badly to believe in Miami. Believe it or not, the 49ers are the team with more to prove here considering their only wins over winning teams are the 6-5 Seahawks and Chargers. But the Niners are playing so well right now, especially on defense, that they’re hard to pick against, and even though Miami’s offense is equally hot, I will usually trust the hot defense over the hot offense. Pick: 49ers.

Indianapolis at Dallas (-10.5)

This game absolutely should have been flexed, but the networks just melt for the Cowboys, especially when they’re 8-3. It’s a big number, but the Colts look so anemic on offense that it’s hard to envision them hanging with Dallas. Micah Parsons could have a field day with Matt Ryan. Pick: Cowboys.

New Orleans at Tampa Bay (buying to -3 at -135)

Tom Brady can’t lose three years in a row at home to the Saints, can he? Every time the Bucs look dead in the water, they seem to be rejuvenated, if by nothing other than the fact that the NFC South is so pathetic. The Saints are in worse shape than the Bucs, so I’ll take the home team in prime time here. Pick: Buccaneers.
